INTRODUCTION

The East Sepik Province has four main Administrative centers. Namely Wewak, Maprik, Angoram and Ambunti. Ambunti Station is the administrative center of the Ambunti District. The Sepik River meanders by Ambunti to reach the Star Mountains near the Indonesian boarder. The length of the river from the mouth to its origin is approximately 1200 kms.

Ambunti Lodge is established on the bank of the Sepik River at Ambunti. This is the Upper most Gateway to the Mystical Upper and Middle Sepik Areas.

HOW TO GET THERE

The main International ports are Port Moresby, Lae and Mt Hagen. From these points you will travel by Air Niugini or Airlink to Wewak then by light aircraft to Ambunti. The other option from Wewak to Ambunti Lodge is by road. This is longer by distance and time.

AMBUNTI LODGE

Ambunti Lodge is owned and Operated by GALA ENTERPRISES LTD a nationally owned company. The principle is Mr. Alois Mateos who also operates SEPIK ADVENTURE TOURS.

The Lodge provides basic accommodation and licensed restaurant services to individuals, government officers, tourists and tour groups. It consists of 7 twins or double bedrooms and two common bathrooms.

We are pleased to announce that upgrading work is in progress which includes three additional rooms and all rooms will have private facilities including air-conditioning.
